Plan of Salvation

Have you come to a point in your life that you know for certain that you have eternal life and will go to heaven when you die?
The Bible says, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1John 5:13 (KJV))
Now I know for certain that I have eternal life and will go to heaven when I die.

Suppose you were standing before God right now and he asked you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" What do you think you would say?
John 3:16 > For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)
God loves us and has a purpose for our lives. God sent down his Son, for the purpose that we might have eternal life.

God's Purpose
We recieve eternal life as a free gift. Romans 6:23 > For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)
We can live a full and meaningful life right now. Jesus said, "(John 10:10) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (KJV)
We will spend eternity with Jesus in heaven. John 14:3 > And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (KJV)
As i searched, I found that my sinful nature kept me from fullfilling God's purpose for my life.

Romans 3:23 > For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV)
As Rom 6:23 said, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
God is holy and just and must punish sin, yet He loves us and has provided forgiveness for our sin. Jesus said, "(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (KJV)

Jesus is God and became man, died for us on a cross and was resurrected from the dead so that we may live.
John 1:1 > In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (KJV)
John 1:14 > And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (KJV)
1st Peter 3:18 > For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: (KJV)
Romans 4:25 > Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. (KJV)
The only way Jesus can affect our lives is for us to recieve him. John 1:12 > But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (KJV)

We must repent of our sin and turn to God.
Acts 3:19 > Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. (KJV)
Acts 26:20 > But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. (KJV)

We must put our faith into Jesus and surrender to Jesus as Lord.
Ephesians 2:8 > For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (KJV)
Romans 10:9-10 >That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10 > For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)
We must also give Jesus control of our lives. Matthew 7:21 > Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)

Does all of this make sense to you and you want to accept Jesus Christ into your life?
All you have to do is to repent of your sins, place your faith into Jesus and to surrender to Jesus as Lord, and this can be done by a prayer like this: Dear God, I know that Jesus is your Son, and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgivness. I am willing to turn from my sins and recieve Jesus as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If you sincerely prayed this prayer, you have just made the most important decision of your life. You can be sure you are saved and have eternal life.
Romans 10:13 > For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV) God heard your prayer and knows your commitment. Luke 10:20 > Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. (KJV)

All there is left to do is to confess to someone the decision you just made, find a pastor at a church, a friend, a stranger, or even tell me. May grace and peace be to you from the Holy Spirit.
